EDIUS 6来袭 新的格式、工程项目与工作流程
编解码技术、实时编辑本就是EDIUS的强项，因此它们总是每次升级的重中之重。使用EDIUS的老用户都知道，EDIUS是针对广播电视制播而专门设计的，因此在处理标/高清、不同制式混编等方面的确游刃有余，但对于非标准尺寸视频却似乎“有劲使不上”——无法自定义工程尺寸限制了多媒体影像类的应用。不过在新版本中，从最小24×24的“动态小图标”直至4K（4096×2160）分辨率的数字电影，EDIUS都能应付自如。专业制作方面还增加了如：108050p/60p工程支持、以MXF文件格式采集（XDCAM、AVC-I）、支持CanonXFMPEG-2编码等特性。
新增了一个“源素材浏览”对话框。各种无带化格式专用工具、移动媒体、光盘媒体采集都整合到这个对话框中，剪辑师们不必再借助先前的多个不同浏览工具。DVD/CD、P2、XDCAM、XDCAMEX、AVCHD等都统一在这个界面中进行管理和工作，对于使用者或学习者来讲，工具界面的整合无疑带来了极大的方便。
EDIUS 6 新增CanopusHQX编码。众所周知，EDIUS有自己专用的后期制作交互编码：CanopusHQ，在保证画面和采样质量的前提下，提供优异的实时性能。而新的HQX就好比HQ的升级版，除了一如既往的质量和性能之外，更支持10bit色彩深度。帮助那些剪高品质电视剧、广告和纪录片的剪辑师，原汁原味地保留高色彩深度带来的细腻画面。

虽然特效越用越多，或者使用大量高分辨率的素材，但是用户总是希望工作时能够流畅、流畅，再流畅。类似于P2、XDCAM等无带化格式（这些格式除了高分辨率文件之外，一般都会自带一个拍摄时就自动生成的低分辨率代理，以方便浏览和粗编），EDIUS6中几乎可以为所有视频素材创建代理文件。而在全新的“代理模式”中，即使是硬件配置较低的消费级笔记本上，照样可以高效地创建全高清的精彩故事。与此同时，一个非常棒的特性是：现在EDIUS的某些工作，如：代理的生成完全不会影响正在进行的编辑工作，所有“魔术”都将在后台悄悄忙碌，用户可以打开专门的后台任务对话框对所有后台任务进行管理。
借助新的代理编辑功能，电视机构、制作公司可以有更多选择，以自由订制合适的工作流程，比如将工程“登出”至台式机/笔记本进行制作，然后“登入”至高性能的工作站进行更新和输出，或者直接发送至EDIUS的专用渲染集群：EDIUSXRE进行集中输出等，灵活而高效。

除了以往传统的色度键和亮度键之外，EDIUS6中新增了两个遮罩类工具：自由曲线遮罩和轨道遮罩。自由曲线遮罩将取代之前的区域滤镜，配备有常规的多个贝塞尔曲线绘制、节点调整、动态关键帧等功能；轨道遮罩则可以直接在轨道上合成图像与用于黑白遮罩的素材。这两个功能在实际工作中非常有用。可以这么说，现在使用EDIUS能够方便地在轨道上处理一些相对复杂的特效制作任务了。

Minimum System Requirements
- Any Intel Core 2 or Core iX CPU. Intel or AMD single core CPU with a 3 GHz processor speed or faster (multiple CPUs and/or multi-core CPUs are recommended). SSE2 and SSE3 instruction set supported.
- 6 GB of hard disk space is required for installation (including third-party software)
- Drive with ATA100/7,200 RPM or faster is necessary for video storage:
